Education Grads needed for Teaching Assistant Work- Trowbridge - Wiltshire - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Have you recently graduated with an Education degree? If you're seeking to gain experience within SEND we would love to hear from upi as we're currently recruiting teaching assistants in the Warminster area. We work with a number of mainstream, SEND schools, pupil referral units and alternative provisions. Some of our roles are 1-1 positions as well as general in-class support. Many roles start as ad-hoc on the day supply we also have long term roles going from two weeks to six months long. Sometimes the temp roles lead to permanent contracts if you make a good impression.
To work for us you need a minimum of 3-6 months experience working with children or with adults with special needs. You will need to be a positive role model and have a real desire to make a difference. Some of the children have been excluded many times and have difficult home lives. You will need to be able to build rapport quickly with the children. You could be working with children with SEND such as SEMH, Global delay, challenging behaviours, autism, aspergers, ADHD, Downs syndrome and Cerebral Palsy to name a few.

You will need to hold an up to date DBS certificate and be able to provide a detailed, work history with contactable references to be considered for this role. If you have lived or worked abroad for more than six months in the last five years then you will need to provide a police check from that country. We will need a minimum of two references, one covering the last year and one with adults or children with special needs. These will need to come from a work email address.
