Drama Grads needed for Teaching Assistant Work- Cardiff - Cardiff - Role: SEND TA Jobs
We are seeking to recruit recently graduated drama students who've worked with children previously. To work for us you need 3-6 months experience working with children. This is a great way to gain experience working with lots of different types of ages, special needs in a variety of settings Some of our roles are 1-1 with a specific child and some are general in class support.
We are recruiting for teaching assistants in a variety of mainstream, special needs schools and alaternative provisions across Cardiff. You may be working with children with SEND such as cerebral palsy, ADHD, autism, Asperger's, downs syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and challenging behaviours. The hours will be 8:30-3:30pm and you need to be flexible working in a variety of settings with a host of children with different needs. Some may be non verbal and you may have to do some personal care, knowledge of Makaton or PECS would be advantageous.
If you're an empathetic and understanding person who has a lot of patience and empathy this is the role for you. Even though the role is on a supply basis, there is the opportunity to be flexible with your time and work up to five days a week. This job can work really well around other jobs and is great for people with children. You will get a three month calender to update your supply availability so you can choose what days you want to work and choose how many days a week you want to work.
