Axcis Education is currently looking for a Deputy Head teacher to work in a school for young people with Social, Emotional and mental health needs. The school believe in supporting young people according to their specific needs to enable them to build trusting and healthy relationships, make progress with learning, to manage behaviours and personal accomplishments.
The correct candidate will have the below experience:
" Extensive and proven experience of raising attainment and performance of children with SEMH
" Extensive leadership and management experience, including experience of being a Head teacher in order to provide necessary cover arrangements (demonstrated by having NPQH)
" Willingness to provide Head teacher cover when required
" Qualified Teacher Status
" Capable (and willing) of carrying out restrictive physical interventions (RPIs) as per relevant school policies
" Evidence of delivering improvements in pupil outcomes
" Ability to lead others in an appropriate and supportive manner
" Ability to use and act on own initiative but also work as part of a team
" Ability to respond calmly and confidently to a variety of challenges
" Good interpersonal, organisational and management skills
