Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
JOB WORKING HOURS:
Axcis are currently in partnership with a behavioural unit in Oldham who are looking to appoint a special educational needs and disabilities teaching assistant to work on a full time basis Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm. Your role will be to support a a variety of children with social emotional and mental health (SEMH) and also support other children with varying special educational needs including attention deficit disorder (ADHD).
The ideal candidate would be someone that is patient and able to deal with challenging behaviour and enable the chance of learning and development. Ideally you will be Team Teach trained, however this is not necessary.
You will have experience working with challenging behaviour, ideally in PRU's or as a youth worker, however if you have experience working in mainstream schools working with children with ADHD or SEMH this will be relevant also.
