Job Title: Communication support workers needed for school in Tulse Hill
JOB LOCATION:
London - SE
JOB WORKING HOURS:
Full Time
My client are a high school located in Tulse Hill and they are looking for communication support workers for their hearing impairment unit. In the first instance, the booking would run for 2 terms. They are looking for someone who is qualified to at least BSL (British Sign Language) Level 3. Your remit would be to work with deaf children in class. Working as a communication support worker your role has a lot more to do with interpreting what the teacher says in English to the deaf child in BSL, so linguistic skills need to be good and less to do with a general TA role. If you have the relevant training as well as experience then this could be the role for you! Please apply if you are looking for both part time and full times roles. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Tessa Ejehu at Axcis Education on 0800 107 9900 or 020 7580 2956. Axcis is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.
