Children's Residential Support Workers - Leyland - Lancashire - Role: School Support Staff Jobs

Job Title: Children's Residential Support Workers - Leyland
Do you have experience supporting young people with special needs? 2 vacancies are available supporting children in a 4 bedroom residential home. The home is situated in a lovely area in Leyland, Lancashire and are all accessible from the near by motorways and public transport links. The children have a variety of SEND needs including ASD, LD and some challenging behaviour. Duties would include daily home care chores, accompanying them to school, medical and social appointments and companionship. The houses are equipped with all the resources for carers to support them in their daily lives and are modern and homely. The shifts are days only, 3 or 4 days a week (including some weekends), various shift patterns available with the rota given in advance. The start date for these roles is ASAP and I will be holding interviews over the next week for the right candidates. De-escalation and restraint training would be an advantage. The rate of pay is £9-£10.50 per hour depending on experience. If you have the skills, knowledge or experience required for supporting people with SEND needs then apply using the button below, send your most up to date CV to or call me directly on 0151 448 2810. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Jaqueline Edwards at Axcis Education on 0151 448 2810.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
