Are you a dedicated SEND practitioner looking for a new challenge? Axcis are seeking staff with a care background to work at a residential school for SEND children from age 6-19yrs. The school is situated in Chorley and has many residential settings in the surrounding areas. The residential settings have a fantastic support structure and offers excellent resources for all staff that work there. You will be a role model, mentor and daily support to the child you will be working with. There may be an element of assisting students with personal care. This role would be suited to someone from a care background that is able to be empathetic to the learners needs. You must have an understanding of working with young people with special educational needs and disabilities and have a real desire to make a difference. There are 3 different shift patterns available. Early - 7.30am-3.30pm Late - 3.30pm-10.30pm Waking nights - 9.45pm-7.45pm The daily rate for these roles is £10.30ph and you will be expected to do 3 to 5 shifts per week. There is also an opportunity to go permanent after a period of 12 weeks for the right candidates. This is a temporary position. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open.
