Job Title: Care Support/Teaching Assistant- SEND School- Maidenhead
London - West
Care Support/Teaching Assistant required for 1:1 PMLD support at a special needs school in Maidenhead. Axcis are currently working with a special needs secondary school in Maidenhead who require an experienced Care Support/Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 care for a 15 year old male pupil with PMLD. The student will need assistance with personal care and struggles with mobility around the classroom. Therefore the support/teaching assistant must be confident in manual handling. This role is ongoing with the potential to become long-term. The SEND school is easily accessible by public transport and car. The school provides a number of benefits including free parking for all staff as well as a number of internal facilities such as a hydro-therapy pool and sensory/therapy rooms. The ideal candidate for the Care Support/Teaching Assistant role will: - Have experience working in either a school, care or childcare setting - Have proven experience or confidence with manual handling - Have an experienced and proactive approach to giving 1:1 support for older children with limited mobility - Hold an enhanced DBS that must be on the updated service (if you do not have one Axcis can assist you in attaining one) This is a temporary position.
