Axcis Education is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Behavioural Support Staff. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing tailored support to help these children thrive in their educational environment. As behaviour support your role will see you: Provide One-on-One Support: Offer personalized support to primary school students with SEMH, ASD, and challenging behaviour, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively. Implement Behaviour Plans: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of behaviour plans designed to support students' social and emotional development. Create a Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and valued. Collaborate with School Staff: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting the needs of each student. Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of student progress, behaviour incidents, and interventions, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and confidential. Requirements: • Previous experience working with children with SEMH, ASD, or challenging behavior is essential. • Personality: A calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers. • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including full-time or part-time, to accommodate the needs of the school and students. • Safeguarding: Willingness to undergo background checks and safeguarding training as required by Axcis Education.
