Job Title: Behavior Mentor - KS4
Behaviour Mentor – PRU KS4 | From £95/day | Tower Hamlets | September Start | Full Time | Long Term
Axcis are working with a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) in Tower Hamlets, who are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their KS4 team from September. The school is just minutes from Whitechapel and Shadwell stations, making it ideal for commuters. With a strong pastoral team, small class sizes and a trauma-informed approach, this school offers excellent support for both students and staff.
In this role, you will be:
• Supporting pupils aged 14–16 with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.
• Providing structure, calm, and boundaries to help re-engage students with learning.
• Working 1:1 and in small groups to support emotional regulation.
• De-escalating incidents using positive behaviour strategies.
• Collaborating with the SENCo and pastoral team to monitor progress.
What we are looking for:
• Experience working with SEMH or behaviourally challenging students.
• Confidence managing behaviour in a calm, supportive way.
• A genuine passion for inclusion and relationship-led practice.
• Experience in PRUs, APs, or youth work is highly desirable.
