ASC (Autism) Teaching Assistant Required - SEND School - Rochdale
Axcis are currently working with a special school in Rochdale who are looking for a teaching assistant to work 1:1 with an 11 year old boy with Autism. The boy you will be supporting has limited communication with speech and language difficulties.There is possibility of some personal care involved but not necessarily the case but the right person must be open to the possibility. This is a medium sized, two form entry school and you will be working in a classroom with 8 children and 3 other teaching assistants. The school has excellent facilities including sensory rooms and state of the art sports facilities.
This is a full time and temporary position with chance to go permanent for the right person.
The school itself is based in central Rochdale with easily accessible tram/bus links.
The school requirements:
" You must be have experience working with Autism, preferably in a school setting
" You must have experience working in schools or relevant experience
" DBS checked and on the update service, or be willing to process a new one
" Someone who is passionate about working with children
" To support every child's needs with respect to their disability
