Job Title: Associate Education Consultant
Whether you're a graduate ready to start your career, a sales professional looking to apply your skills in a more meaningful setting, or a teacher ready for a change of direction — this could be the opportunity for you. At Axcis Education, we specialise in recruiting for the SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) sector. We’re now looking for an Associate Education Consultant to join our Bristol team. The Associate Education Consultant role is a 6-month training programme designed to cover all aspects of the 360-recruitment cycle. All we ask is you have the drive to succeed with a great work ethic. We’ll help you with everything else so by the end of the 6-month programme you’ll be fully equipped to manage your own portfolio of candidates and clients. You don’t need to have recruitment experience — we’ll give you the tools and training to grow into the role and build a long-term career with us. What the role involves: You’ll begin by learning how to source, assess and support candidates — teachers, teaching assistants and support staff — who are looking to work in specialist schools. In your first 3 months, you'll focus on: • Writing job adverts and posting them to relevant platforms • Reviewing CVs and shortlisting candidates • Pre-screening candidates over the phone • Carrying out face-to-face interviews • Writing candidate profiles to share with schools Once you’re confident with candidate recruitment, you’ll start working directly with schools. This part of the role includes: • Building relationships with existing school clients • Reaching out to new schools to introduce our service • Attending regular school visits to better understand their needs • Matching candidates to the right vacancies • Managing bookings and filling roles quickly and efficiently There are clear performance targets at each stage, including the number of interviews you complete, calls made, and school visits attended. We keep things transparent, and progression is based on performance rather than time served — so if you’re motivated and consistent, there’s real opportunity to grow quickly. What we’re looking for: There’s no one background that makes someone great at this job — but our most successful team members tend to have a few things in common: • Graduates who are ambitious, organised and eager to learn • Salespeople or business developers who are confident, resilient and used to working towards targets • Teachers or teaching assistants who are highly organised, self-motivated, who have a commercial awareness and understand how schools work. This role isn’t for everyone. You won’t be working directly with children, so if that’s your main motivation, a role directly in education might be a better fit. But if you’re looking for a way to have an impact in education, while working in a fast-paced, results-focused environment, this could be perfect for you. Why join Axcis? • Competitive basic salary - starting at £26k dependent upon experience • Full time permanent role, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (shift patterns between 7am and 6pm) • Very competitive uncapped commission scheme - your effort is reflected in your earnings • Work from home options after initial training period • Reduced working hours during school holidays • Later start/early finish every Friday during term time • 90 Minute lunch break once a week • Staff discount and wellbeing package - including access to an Employee Assistance Programme • A supportive and collaborative team environment • In-depth training with a full-time trainer based in our Bristol office Work from a well-equipped office in Brislington with: • Free parking • An on-site café and deli • A 24/7 gym • Monthly “Thirsty Thursdays” free for the whole office If you’re ready to take the first step in a career where you’ll be supported, challenged and rewarded, we’d love to hear from you.
