An SEND secondary school in Stockwell are looking for a full time KS3/KS4 food technology teacher to start asap, to work until t - London - SW - Role: SEND Teacher Jobs
This school cater to students who have emotional behavior difficulties as well as students who are on the Autistic spectrum. The ethos of the school is to present a secure, caring and supportive environment in which there is an expectation of high pupil achievement and raised attainment for all and they are looking for a teacher who will be able to create this environment.
The main responsibilities of the post are to:
o Teach allocated classes and provide a well-planned, challenging and purposeful learning environment for students.
o Be a form tutor, caring for the students' academic and pastoral development.
o Promote and manage positive student behaviour both within lessons and around the school site in accordance with the Behaviour for Learning Policy.
o Set homework on a regular basis and mark student work in accordance with the School Policy.
o Assess, monitor, record and report on student achievement and progress.
o Follow the course outlines, syllabus and schemes of work as directed by the Head of Department.
o Attend subject/year team meetings as relevant.
o Ensure that students make expected/better than expected progress in comparison to similar students nationally, as shown by any relevant tests, assessments and examinations.
