Job Title: ADHD Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm Salary: Paid to scale We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate ADHD Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive school located in the vibrant community of Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) within a mainstream classroom setting. Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to students with ADHD, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the lead teacher and special educational needs coordinator (SENCO). • Employ a range of strategies that cater to the unique learning styles and behavioural management of students with ADHD. • Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support to enhance students' learning experiences. • Act as a liaison between students, teachers, and parents, providing regular updates on progress and any concerns that arise. • Contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment that is sensitive to the needs of all learners. • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and adapt resources to suit individual learning requirements. • Monitor and record student progress, ensuring any issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
