Axcis Education are thrilled to be working with a secondary school in Clevedon who are looking for a part-time tutor to support a student in Year 9 with their academic work. The student has not been able to attend school over the last 2 years due to a functional neurological disorder therefore having experience working as a tutor or teacher is essential for this role. This role will be for 12 hours per week, potentially increasing to 16 hours in the near future. The student will require support with English, Science, History, Art and Textiles so knowledge of these subjects is vital. The school would ideally like the tutor to hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent qualification. This role would be ideal for someone who has previously worked as a teacher and is now looking for flexible part-time work. An understanding of SEND and previous experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable in this role as the work will involve differentiating the work to the ability of the student.
