1-1 Teaching Assistant Cerebral Palsy - Taunton - Somerset - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Looking for your next challenge in SEND? Axcis is working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Taunton to recruit a 1:1 teaching assistant to work with a year 2 child with cerebral palsy. The role is full time starting in September, five days a week Monday- Friday and the hours are 8:30-3:30pm. This is a temporary role with potential to become more long term for the right candidate.
A supportive vibrant school where students thrive and come to learn. Many of our staff we have placed there in the past have really enjoyed working there. The school has a strong team of permanent staff who can support agency supply.
This position is one to one support for a child with cerebral palsy and you will be expected to assist with moving and handling as they have mobility issues. The role will include supporting the child during meal times as well as assisting with personal care where required. A professional manner and the understanding of how to build self esteem in others is also a must. The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEND teaching assistant who has worked with children with physical disabilities in a special needs environment.
