Job Title: 1-1 TA Cerebral Palsy- Gloucester
JOB LOCATION:
Gloucestershire
Are you a TA experienced in working with a KS3 child with Cerebral Palsy? Axcis want to hear from you! Axcis have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a well respected specialist school in Gloucester. The child has difficulty with their mobility and uses a wheelchair so you will need to have experience with manual handling and personal care. This fantastic specialist school uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. The school is small but well resourced and has a fantastic atmosphere upon entering the grounds. Situated on the outskirts of Cheltenham, the school has excellent links to public transport, parking and is easily accessible. The role starts in September and is five days a week, full time with potential to continue till the end of term for the right person. The position is general in-class support - you will need to be able to quickly build a relationship with the child. If you are a caring, friendly and patient individual then this could be just the kind of role you're looking for. The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEND teaching assistant who has worked with children with cerebral disabilities before in a special needs environment. If you're looking for a supply agency that offers work in special schools and/or alternative provisions then Axcis is the recruitment agency for you. As sponsors of the National Autistic Society and other notable SEND organisations, Axcis takes it duty of care to the profession seriously and we do our best to find only the best staff for the schools we work with. Many of our consultants are ex-teachers or support staff with SEND experience, giving Axcis unparalleled knowledge of the sector. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Charise Clarke at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127. Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
