1-1 TA Autism- Gloucester - Gloucestershire - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Are you an experienced TA in Autism? Axcis want to hear from you! Axcis have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a well respected mainstream primary school in Gloucester working 1-1 with a child with Autism, aged 8. The child sometimes exhibits challenging behaviour and you will need to be calm and patient.
The school is large and has good offsted ratings, it has a fantastic atmosphere upon entering the grounds. Situated in the centre of Cheltenham and with excellent links to public transport the school is easily accessible. The school is popular with many of our staff who've gone there.
The role starts in September and will go on till the end of the academic year with potential to become for the right candidate. The position is general in-class support - you will need to have previous experience of working with children with autism. Routines are important to the child and they have very limited language and they communicate using Makaton. You will be expected to do some personal care.
