Job Title: 1-1 Learning Support Assistant - Primary - Challenging Behaviour - St Helens

Axcis Education are working closely with a mainstream primary school in St Helens who are looking for a 1-1 LSA to support a boy in year 5 who has extremely challenging behaviour. The child has been excluded on a number of occasions due to behaviour and the school are looking for a 1-1 support to act as a positive role model. The role is for two weeks, with the potential of being extended to the end of the summer for the correct candidate. The school want someone who is experienced, confident and able to quickly form positive relationships with pupils and staff members. Applicants must: - Have a DBS on the update service, or if you have a valid DBS that is not on the update service you must be willing to pay £46 for a new one - Be able to provide references to cover the past 12 months of work - Have previous experience of working with children or young adults with challenging behaviour Team Teach and other restraint training is not required as the school have a designated member of staff to restrain.
