If you do not have a current DBS, or we are unable to verify a previous one, Axcis will need to process an enhanced DBS with the workforce relevant to your role. All Axcis DBSs are processed through a third party called UK CRBS, who charge Axcis £57.07 to process the DBS (or £60.07 should additional document verification be required). Payment is to be made direct to Axcis. Once a DBS is in process, Axcis is unable to cancel the application or refund the cost. Should you require a refund, and your DBS is not already in process, please contact your consultant. We will refund your cost, less an administration charge of £2.00.
Unfortunately, if you do not have a DBS or one in process, or are unable to pay for one on the day of your interview, we may need to postpone your interview.
All DBSs must be registered on the DBS Update Service. The DBS Update Service is an online subscription that allows you to keep your DBS certificate consistently up-to-date as long as you maintain your annual subscription. It also allows you to use the same DBS with multiple employers, without the need for you to apply and pay for multiple DBS certificates.
This has to be completed within 30 days of your certificate being issued. If you do not register your DBS with the update service within the required time frame then your DBS will not be valid. Overseas Police Check (OSPC)
If you have lived or worked overseas for 6 months or more, within the last 5 years, you will need a police check from each relevant country. We may also require proof of entry/exit or flight details.
