Have you got experience as a teaching assistant and can you communicate with children using BSL (British Sign Language)?
Do you want to work in a friendly school, where outstanding teaching and care is commonplace?
If you answered yes to both then we want to hear from you.
I am currently working with a primary school in Liverpool that require a TA Level 2 with BSL skills to support a child in Year 2 with a hearing impairment. The child has some skills signing so as well as communicating with the child using BSL, you will also be required to enhance the child's BSL skills.
The role is to commence immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year. The child will require support during literacy, numeracy and all other subjects and also some playground supervision will be required.
Supporting on a 1-1 basis will be the main responsibility, however there will be some occasions when small group intervention and nurture group work will be required. You will be working closely with the class teacher and a full time TA based in the classroom.
This role is full time, Monday-Friday 8.45-3.30pm with an immediate start.
You must have experience of working with children and be able to provide an education reference.
