Teaching Assistant - PMLD Experience - Liverpool - Role: SEN TA Jobs
We are urgently looking for Teaching Assistants with specialist experience of working with children with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Our client is an established SEND specific school based in Knowsley catering for learners with a range of needs. They are based in a modern building with state of the art facilities providing vocational skills/ independent living skills study programmes for 19-24 year olds.
The school is looking for 3 Teaching Assistants to work with children with the following needs:
1 - Gastro Oesophageal Reflux, 4 limb motor disorder, Dystoria and also has a peg fitted.
2 - Social, Communication and Language needs, poor concentration.
3 - Global delay, Severe attention deficit, social, communication and language needs,
Experience of working with or caring for students with complex learning and medical needs.
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Basic knowledge of first-aid.
Ability to work in a team.
The job may require pushing children in wheelchairs and manually moving children whose mobility is restricted. Appropriate training will be provided, if necessary.
The job may require you to physically participate with pupils as advised by the SENCO, teacher or other professionals
The job may involve administering medication based on the medical needs of the child.
The job will include attending to the hygiene needs to pupils, e.g. washing, toileting
