Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Autism/ Complex Needs - KS3/5 - Trafford
Axcis Education is currently working with a specialist secondary school based in Trafford, which is looking for a teaching assistant to join them from October half-term The ideal teaching assistant will have experience working with autism and pupils with more complex needs. A Team Teach qualification is essential for this role as an understanding in de-escalation is of paramount importance. This is a secondary setting so experience of supporting pupils 11-19 is required. This secondary special school caters for pupils with autism and complex needs. The school is well staffed throughout with lots of support in each classroom. Senior leaders are proud of their inclusive approach to education, where every child matters regardless of their need or background. The setting has excellent, state of the art facilities and has very good transport links very close by. This role is full-time and will begin after October half-term; however if the ideal candidate can start sooner, then there is an option for earlier start date. This role will be until Christmas in the first instance with the likelihood of an extension until the end of the academic year. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Thomas Faithwaite at Axcis Education on 0161 507 9397.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.
