JOB TITLE / ROLE:
Teacher - Functional skills (English & Maths) - SEMH Secondary - south Manchester - Manchester - Role: SEN Teacher Jobs
Teacher - Functional skills (English & Maths) - SEMH Secondary - Wythenshawe
Can you teach English & Maths to secondary aged learners in KS3 and KS4 that are working at lower levels?
I am looking for a teacher that has experience of delivering both subjects and ideally someone that has taught learners with challenging behaviour.
You will be working in a setting that caters for young people at secondary age with SEMH needs. It is part of a larger dynamic organisation with plenty of career progression opportunities if this is something that you might be interested in.
You will be required to work up to GCSE level although most pupils are working at much lower levels so you will need to be able to differentiate your work. There will be 2 TAs in each class to help manage behaviour and group sizes will be no more than 8 pupils.
This role can be challenging at times due to the nature of the pupils however can also be very rewarding as you have the ability to build closer relationships with pupils and see them progress holistically not just academically.
This role could turn permanent for the right person.
This is a temporary position.
If you are interested, then please contact Graham Warner at Axcis Education on 0161 507 9397.
