JOB TITLE / ROLE:
Support Teacher for Autism Unit at Mainstream Primary - Surrey - Surrey - Role: SEND Teacher Jobs
Axcis are pleased to be working with a mainstream primary school in Surrey who is looking to recruit a support teacher to work in their autism unit. Situated in a very accessible part of Surrey the school caters for learners on the autistic spectrum with moderate to severe learning difficulties.
As a class teacher working with autism students you will need to:
- Have good experience of working with autistic students and knowledge of how to plan effective lessons/activities for these students.
- Work alongside a class team in order to manage pupil's engagement/behaviour.
- Keep accurate records of student's achievements and communicate these to SLT/parents.
- Form strong relationships with students and the staff team.
You must have an understanding of working with young people with special educational needs, particularly autism, and have a real desire to make a difference.
You will be given excellent support from the school including at least 1 class based TA as well as excellent teaching facilities. Class sizes range from 5 -10.
School Hours are 8.30am - 16.00pm
Pay Range - £130-£160 per day
