Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, Wiltshire

Axcis have a vacancy for a teaching assistant experienced with speech and language at a well respected specialist school close to Chippenham working 1-1 with a child who needs some support in this area. This role will be due to start in September and will be full time. If you have experience with phonics and are looking for more experience in this field then get in touch.
The school is small but well resourced and has a fantastic atmosphere upon entering the grounds. The school uses alternative teaching techniques is renowned as a centre of excellence. The school are looking for someone who is calm, patient and able to use their initiative.
The position is general in-class support and you will need to be able to quickly establish a good relationship with the child.

The ideal candidate will;
- Have experience working in a school enviroment, primary if possible
- Have worked with children who are non verbal or have language barriers
- Be patient and confidently use tools such as PECS
- Show a positive and good working attitude, and be willing to help the school in any way they can
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, if you do not have one, we can help you apply for this
