Salary: £90-£100 per day
Contract: Long term supply until the end of the academic year
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join our team in the supportive environment of a Wandsworth-based school in London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to supporting the needs of pupils with various educational challenges.
Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support to children with a range of SEND requirements.
• Work under the instruction of the teaching staff and SENCO to implement educational plans.
• Facilitate a safe and positive learning environment.
• Promote the independence and social integration of the students.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of individual education and behavior plans.
• Monitor and track the progress of students, reporting back to relevant staff.
• Support pupils with their emotional and behavioural needs.
Requirements:
• Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with exposure to SEND.
• A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Teaching Assistance or relevant field (desired but not mandatory).
• A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
• An Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
