A secondary school based in Hounslow with a provision which caters for students aged between 7 to 18 years old with a range of needs including pupils who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism as well as social, emotional and mental health needs are looking for a teaching assistant to join their team.
The successful teaching assistant will enhance the learning environment for our pupils by supporting the teachers to deliver the curriculum. You will help setup the classrooms, lead on small parts of lessons, keep accurate records to track pupil progress and contribute to lesson planning. It is essential you are aware of pupil progress and able to flag potential concerns. Safeguarding the welfare of the young people in our care will be your primary responsibility. The school are looking for an individual who has high expectations of all pupils and has excellent supportive schools. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to develop trusting positive relationships with pupils. Team Teach training is highly desirable but not essential.
This is a full time, long term role to start ASAP and will continue on until the end of the academic year.
