Job Title: SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, Cheltenham

Working closely with a small primary special school in Cheltenham that caters for children with a primary diagnosis of SEMH - Social and Emotional mental health difficulties, alongside Autism and ADHD, I am looking for a specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis; Monday to Friday 8.30-4 on a long term basis until the end of the winter term in the first instance but likely ongoing until the end of the academic year for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate is someone who is the following:
- Is someone who has previous experience working with children, ideally those with SEMH but that is not compulsory.
- Is compassionate, has a good sense of humour and understands ways to professionally connect with children with SEN- Special Educational Needs.
- is available on a full time basis and understands the importance of consistency.
- Is adaptable, resilient and approachable
- Is a team player and happy to work both as a part of a team and provide 1-1 support where needed.
This school has a great reputation of being a welcoming, supportive and inclusive place to work, has super facilities and a wonderful senior leadership team. The school is easily accessible for those who use public transport as well as having a large staff car park. The pay per day varies from £95.29 to £105.48 per day dependant on experience and you will be paid weekly, a week in arrears every Friday.
