An interesting opportunity has arisen for a caring and encouraging Humanities Teacher or experienced instructor who has extensive previous experience in special educational needs settings. This role is based in Walsall and is a full time, long term position teaching vulnerable young adults with a variety of needs including mental heath needs and severe health issues.
During the role you will be teaching students in small groups of up to three pupils or on a one to one basis. We require a teacher who can quickly assess pupil levels and plan work which will challenge them accordingly. The ability to build confidence towards education is essential and ideal applicants will be able to provide examples of times they have managed to accomplish both engagement and grade attainment.
The pupils will be working towards GCSE level exams therefore teachers must be aware of the national curriculum. The role will require a teacher that can join in with the ethos of the school and really make a difference.
