SEMH Teacher, Bristol
Part time time (0.5 FTE) - very flexible
City centre location
This job role requires a qualified teacher or someone with extensive SEMH experience.
The setting is in an alternative provision unit for learners permanently excluded from education. The learners are all at key stage 3 ages and most of the learners have additional SEND needs. Each member of staff works with, is responsible for and will also act as a key worker for a maximum of 7 learners (with support.)
There is plenty of opportunity for development within the organisation. Applicants with Team Teach training is preferred however the training can also be offered.
The education ethos is a 3 way focus on therapeutic, academic and holistic approach which allows promising student outcomes.
The successful applicant will be able to:
- demonstrate strong team working skills
- contribute and engage in twice-dailly team meetings
- work closely with students and their familes
- work with external bodies such as therapists & social services
