Axcis Education is working with a residential setting that is looking to recruit an English Teacher on a part-time basis ASAP until the end of the academic year. The ideal Teacher will have experience teaching English to Functional Skills level. Experience working with vulnerable students with SEMH is essential. The ideal Teacher will be strong yet flexible in nature. Learners are responsive to practical based lessons and respond well to Forest Schools, so experience in this area would be a huge pull for the school. The role is part-time (up to 3 days but can be flexible for the right teacher). In terms of teaching responsibilities, the ideal SEMH Teacher will be able to deliver both functional skills English and another area of humanities (Citizenship or History). This residential school setting caters for secondary aged students who are vulnerable and display social emotional mental health. Small classes which are well staffed and resourced cater for the individual needs of their pupils. Strong Senior Leaders ensure their in a focus on positive outcomes for young people in their care. Staff unity and wellbeing is a strong focus also. The school is based in the Denton area and boasts excellent transport links.
