One to One ASD Teaching Assistant Needed in Bristol - Bristol - Role: SEN TA Jobs
The position will be full-time and will involve supporting the pupils with autism in and out of the classroom. Creativity, enthusiasm and the ability to think on your feet is essential. Familiarity of behaviour management techniques and MAKATON, Team Teach (or similar training) and PECS would be advantageous, although not essential.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant to work on a one to one basis with a student who has autism in year five. The student has recently transitioned from a small resource base at another school and has joined mainstream lessons. Therefore, the role would include one to one support in the mornings focussing on core subjects, although planning is provided by the class teacher, the school are ideally looking for someone who is looking to make a strong relationship with the child and develop their learning.
This is a temporary role, however, it has the potential to become permanent.
