Learning Support Assistant for FE college in Lancashire - Merseyside - Role: SEN TA Jobs
Axcis are currently working with this vibrant FE college in Lancashire, who are looking to recruit a learning support assistant to work with a group of young people with additional needs.
The college has a very friendly atmosphere and a supportive environment, and is well liked by all staff we have sent to them in the past. Their engaging curriculum ensures all young people have the very best start in becoming confident learners and the supportive staffs are always on hand to go above and beyond.
As well as the class teacher, you will be a role model, mentor and daily support to the pupils you will be working with. There is excellent potential for progression in this college, with many staff being taken onto permanent contracts after a short period of supply work.
You must be resilient and able to deal with challenging and sometimes confrontational situations. The college are looking for an LSA that is calm, professional and confident supporting within a SEND setting. Those with experience implementing IEPs/ behavioural plans will be at an advantage.
