Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm, Full time

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a thriving educational institution in Wandsworth, London. This full-time role offers a supportive environment where you can contribute to the development and learning of students with diverse educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs, both within the classroom setting and in smaller, focused groups or on a one-to-one basis.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of learning materials and activities under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
• Encourage and assist students with their educational and social development, enabling them to engage fully in classroom activities and school life.
• Maintain accurate records of students' progress and any issues that arise, working closely with teachers and the support team to adapt learning plans accordingly.
• Contribute actively to the creation of a safe and positive learning environment through effective behaviour management and support.
• Participate in training and development opportunities, continuously seeking ways to improve your skills and knowledge as a Learning Support Assistant.
Requirements:
• Prior experience in a similar role or a strong desire to support the learning process within a school environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with children and young people.
• Sound understanding of classroom practices and the educational needs of students with varying abilities.
• A collaborative mindset, with the capacity to work as part of a team as well as independently when required.
