Looking for your next challenge in SEND? Are you a history teacher who has experience teaching children with Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties? If you have taught children who have challenging behaviour in any capacity and can support, guide and positively influence them we would love to hear from you. We are seeking to recruit a history teacher for a role with immediate start. The role is five days a week going on till the end of the school year and is in a pupil referral unit in Tewkesbury. The pupil referral unit is popular with many of our staff and uses many alternative approaches and therapies. It has beautiful grounds where the children are encouraged to do outdoor activities like gardening, horse riding and climbing.
You would need to be a good role model, be resilient and remain calm under pressure. If challenging behaviour doesn't faze you and you have the skills to de escalate stressful situations you would be prefect for this role. These are challenging but highly rewarding roles that often become permanent for the right people. This is the last chance for an education for some of these children and you could make a real difference in their lives. Those trained in Team Teach or MAPA and are able to teach other subjects you would be at an advantage.
We provide day to day cover and long term positions in mainstream, special needs and residential schools as well as pupil referral units. Axcis can offer you competitive rates of pay, the general day rate for teachers is £110.
