Job Title: Full Time Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant
A friendly and school rated 'GOOD' by Ofsted is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant for a special educational needs school in Rochdale. The school is very well respected and you will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with a range of students aged up to 25 with a range of additional needs, such as PMLD, ASD, Cerebral Palsy and Down's syndrome. The class sizes tend to be of a smaller size ranging up to a maximum of 15 people. This role is offered on a full time, long term basis, Monday to Friday and you would be required to be available from 8:30am until 4:00pm. This is a great opportunity for an experienced SEND professional as this may lead to a permanent role. There are great transport links to the school; in addition there is a large staff car park. The ideal candidate will have experience with working on a 1:1 basis with children with PMLD, ASD, Cerebral Palsy and Down's Syndrome, however there is great training in place for those with minimal experience. The school are looking for someone who is passionate with a caring nature. We offer a range of CPD courses, if you're interested in working for Axcis, this is an additional benefit. If you are interested, then please contact Georgia Waite at Axcis Education on 0161 507 9397.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
