JOB TITLE / ROLE:
English Teacher - SEND - Yeovil - Mainstream Secondary School - ASAP Start - Bristol - Role: SEN Teacher Jobs
Axcis are currently seeking an English Teacher to work in a mainstream school in Yeovil. Although the school is a mainstream secondary school, they would ideally like the successful candidate to work in the ASD Base they fortunately have the funding to have on site.
Due to the urgency of the role starting as soon as ASAP, we are ideally looking for candidates who are available for work ASAP but will consider postponing the start date for the right candidate. The role is part time (days to be confirmed) and will be on an ongoing basis until the end of the academic year (July 2019) with potential for the role to become permanent.
The school have recently had a turn over of staff which means the large school are looking for fresh faces to join their SEND team. The school are also recruiting for other core subject teachers such as Maths and Science, so if you are an English teacher with knowledge, experience and the ability to teach these other core subjects too this role could be made into a full time position (rather than a job share basis).
To be considered for the role, you must have;
QTS in secondary education
Experience teaching English
Although it is not mandatory, it would be advantageous if you had Team Teach and/or knowledge of SEND, preferably Autism as this will benefit both the class plan, behaviour management and the pupils progression.
