We are currently looking to recruit confident, flexible and professional graduates to work as Teaching Assistants (TA) within a variety of special school settings across the South Wales area including, Newport, Blaenau - Gwent, Pontypool, Cwmbran, Torfaen, Monmouth and Merthyr Tydfil. Many of our key clients require ad-hoc TA support to provide support on a 1:1 and class-support basis.
We work with a variety of schools and alternative settings across South Wales and the surrounding areas, for primary and secondary aged students affected with a wide range of statements including:
* ASD- autism and Asperger's Syndrome
* SLD- Severe Learning Difficulties
* SEMH/ EBD- Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties/Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
* Physical Disabilities
* Downs Syndrome
The flexibility of this type of work is particularly suited to those who are wishing to pursue an acting career. The ideal TAs will primarily be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their ambitions. Furthermore, you must be available for at least 2 days a week, between 8:15am-3:45pm and on short notice. Ideally, you will have previously gained experience of working with young people with special needs, however this is not essential; the right attitude, the ability to quickly adapt to your surroundings and work with professionalism and compassion is paramount.
