Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term Supply (Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm) Duration: Until the end of the academic year Pay: £90-95 a day We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team at a vibrant educational setting in the heart of Wandsworth, London. This full-time, long-term supply position requires a committed individual who is passionately committed to improving the educational experiences and outcomes for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Key Responsibilities: • Provide targeted support to pupils with ASD, both within the classroom environment and in one-to-one settings. • Develop and implement effective strategies to engage and motivate pupils, tailored to meet their individual needs and abilities. • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and the special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) to plan inclusive lessons and activities. • Assist in the tracking of pupil progress and contribute to assessment reports to ensure each child meets their personal developmental goals. • Foster a nurturing and safe learning environment, adhering to school policies and procedures. • Engage in continuous professional development to further enhance your understanding of ASD and teaching best practices. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with ASD is essential. • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Childcare/Education, or a related field, is highly desirable. • A patient, understanding, and resilient individual with strong interpersonal skills.
