Position: ASD Teacher
Location: London, Wandsworth
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
Salary: Paid to scale
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ASD Teacher to join our friendly team in London, Wandsworth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality education to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ensuring their unique learning needs are met in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths, needs, and abilities.
• Create engaging and differentiated lessons that foster student learning and social skills development.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and to promote a love for learning.
• Establish and maintain a structured classroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning for students with ASD.
• Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other professionals to support student success and well-being.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed to facilitate academic and social growth.
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to ASD and special education best practices.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with training/experience in special education and ASD.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with ASD.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
