ASD teacher needed for school in Bromley | London - SE | SEN Teacher Jobs
This is a special school in Bromley for students on the autistic spectrum. They accommodate KS4 and KS5 classes as well as having an independent living flat that enables students to practice the skills that will be most important to them when moving on. The school are now looking for an SEND teacher to join them in Easter.
In KS4 the curriculum covers a range of areas. Pupils are class based for most subjects to provide stability and minimal amount of transition. The KS4 curriculum includes, PE, RE, PHSE, Science, Music and Computing. Students study English and Maths in regular weekly lessons. Within some of these subjects, they offer students accreditation at different levels. On two afternoons each week students are in options groups chosen by the students at the end of year 9. They are able to choose two options to study for two years. These currently include Media, Food Technology, Music, Child Care.
Every Wednesday classes take part in a project-based day where topics and activities are very pupil led. Pupils can work on areas of the curriculum that they are particularly interested in and form part of their Personalised Plan and there are plenty of opportunities for Learning Outside the Classroom.
If you are a secondary trained SEND teacher with ASD experience, looking for a full time ( Mon to Fri) post starting after Easter then please get in touch.
Pay is negotiable.
