Job Title: Adult Learning Disabilities Support Worker - Newton Abbot
Axcis have a great opportunity coming soon! We are looking for a Health and Social Qualified support worker who has worked with adults with learning difficulties on a night or day time basis. There are part and full time roles available with a variety of days and night positions. This role is paying £10 - £12 an hour plus pay enhancements for sleep-ins and working weekends. These nights can be flexible during weekdays or over the weekend. The company was set up by parents that had children with learning difficulties and who wanted to guarantee a better life for them. The residential home is a wonderful environment with incredible resources and grounds, which often create outdoor activities that people want to achieve. They strive in building relationships where the support worker and adult have similar hobbies and can enjoy their interests together. The ideal candidate must be caring, creative and flexible to meet the people's needs and passionate to always look for the best way of completing tasks. You must be experienced and give the highest possible standards of support to individuals with moderate to severe learning disabilities, in all aspects of their daily lives. If you believe you are the right candidate for the role it would be great to hear from you. This is a fantastic role that can lead to further training opportunities. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Kirsty OReilly at Axcis Education on .

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
