Axcis Education is delighted to be working with an alternative provision based in the Salford area that is looking for an academic tutor. This is a full-time role that could go permanent for the right candidate.
The ideal academic mentor will have a background in supporting secondary aged students with SEMH, ADHD and those that display challenging behaviour. The candidates needs to be able to take direction from both SENCo and class teachers to ensure high levels of support for those with high needs.
This role is full-time and would require the academic mentor to support a number of students with social, emotional and challenging behaviour needs. A strong understanding of working with students with barriers to learning is essential; as is the ability to be a strong, positive role model who can forge solid relationships with hard to reach students.
The alternative provision is based across a number of sites in and around Salford. Experienced senior leaders are proud of the alternative provision they offer their students. They provide a tailored environment for young people in their care. They very much see each child as unique and want to caters specifically to their individual needs.
This is a full-time, longer-term and possibly permanent role for the right candidate. The alternative provision is interviewing candidates as we speak, so if you're interested and have the required experience, then get in touch today.
This is a temporary position.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.
Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
