At Axcis, supporting children and young people is at the heart of everything we do.

As a specialist SEND teaching agency, we work with schools, alternative provisions and colleges across England and South Wales, helping children and young people with additional needs access the support they deserve through exceptional education professionals.

Throughout our partnership with Family Fund, colleagues across Axcis came together to raise money, increase awareness and support families raising disabled or seriously ill children across the UK.

From office fundraising events to personal challenges, every activity reflected the teamwork, compassion and community spirit that are such an important part of Axcis.

Why Family Fund?

As a specialist SEND teaching agency, Axcis works closely with children, young people and families affected by SEND and additional needs. We see first-hand the positive difference that the right support, resources and opportunities can make to families.

Family Fund is the UK's largest charity providing grants to families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people.

Their grants help provide practical items such as specialist equipment, sensory toys, clothing, technology, kitchen appliances and family breaks, helping ease some of the financial pressures many families experience while caring for children with additional needs.

Supporting Family Fund was a natural fit with Axcis' commitment to helping children, young people and families thrive.

A Team Effort Across Axcis

Colleagues across Axcis organised and participated in a wide range of fundraising activities throughout our partnership, including:

Every event, no matter how big or small, contributed towards helping Family Fund continue its important work supporting families across the UK.

More importantly, these activities brought colleagues together around a shared purpose that reflects the values we see every day through our work in SEND education.

Joshua's London Marathon Challenge

One particularly inspiring fundraising achievement came from Joshua Halliday in our Liverpool team.

After months of training, Josh completed the 2026 London Marathon in support of Family Fund.

His determination and commitment helped raise an incredible amount for the charity.

Recognising this fantastic achievement, Axcis matched Josh's fundraising as part of our wider support for Family Fund.

Josh's marathon perfectly demonstrated how one person's commitment can inspire colleagues across the business while helping improve the lives of families raising disabled or seriously ill children.
