Identification of those children who may require full OT assessment prior to a place being considered for them at AHS, and those who will require full assessment on school entry. Identifying children on entry to the Academy,  who require Occupational Therapy.    Devising and executing appropriate occupational therapy programmes for children either individually or in small groups.  Providing occupational therapy support integrated into the class setting and monitoring and evaluating their programmes.   Providing occupational therapy as part of the Academy's outreach service provision.  Working within the classroom paired with a teacher on a timetabled basis.    Maintaining individual pupil's records and report back on their progress to staff and parents as appropriate.  Working with colleagues to produce IEPs.  Writing reports on individual pupils receiving O.T. for school records and parents.  Meeting with parents of present children to discuss their progress.  Providing information in relation to children's Statements of Special Educational Needs and contribution to Annual Reviews as appropriate.  Supporting and advising teachers and remedial staff with regard to Occupational Therapy, and supervising on any input which is not conducted by the O.T. personally.  Ensuring that all members of staff are aware of the Academy's handwriting policy and evaluating and up-dating the policy as appropriate.  Working together with the Physiotherapist and Speech and Language Therapist in developing and delivering a social skills programme for selected children.
