Oyster Card
Your Oyster Card should be treated like gold! It is your ticket to London. This little piece of plastic can get you from Heathrow Airport to home, the bus or train to work and can now even be a Visa card too.
How it works: You touch it on a flat yellow ‘pad’ as you go through the barriers to and from the Underground (Tube) and it registers where you have started your journey so when you touch out it can deduct the right amount. When you use it on a bus you just touch on and it will deduct £0.90 for your journey instead of £2.00 if you pay cash. You can top it us at many corner stores or at any tube station.
Pick one up at Heathrow Airport before you catch the tube when you arrive as it will save you on your fare.
