NQTs and the 16 month rule
Legislation states that any newly qualified teacher who has done 16 months or 4 terms of supply work without fully completing their Induction year (irrespective of any breaks in employment) cannot be employed by agencies or schools on a supply basis. The only way to obtain an exemption if you are in a current role is via the relevant LEA who MAY grant an extension in some circumstances. However if you fall into this category we will not be able to assist you in finding supply work If your situation changes and you complete your Induction, please contact us again and provide a copy of your full QTS certificate.
