Axcis sponsors two Westminster Education Forum seminars in July 2013 (Jun. 18, 2013)

Axcis Education is delighted to be sponsoring two Westminster Education Forum seminars in July 2013. The first is Special Educational Needs and Disabilities - Education, Care and Health Plans, personal budgets and support post-16 on the morning of Thursday, 4th July 2013 at a venue near London Bridge where our MD, Jean Wilson, will be on the panel discussion and Q and A and there will also be an opportunity to speak with two of Axcis’ Executive Managers, Catherine Friel and Emily Marbaix, and to learn more about our specialist SEN recruitment.

Local Authorities have now appointed an Autism Lead responsible for implementing other aspects of the strategy, however progress is slow and patchy and to many are still waiting for the everyday support they need. Nasen responds to the Education Committee SEN Report (Dec. 19, 2012)

Nasen welcomes the detailed pre – legislative scrutiny report on special educational needs. We are pleased that although the Select Committee recognised that in general the draft clauses were good they did acknowledge that their concerns (along with many of those who offered evidence) was the lack of detail within the clauses and the really crucial need for evaluation of how the Government’s proposals will be implemented across the sector. We are also pleased that they agreed that the revised Code of Practice should be a statutory document and laid before Parliament. Read More ...
