FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
When Should I apply for an NI number?
If you do not already have a NI number you must apply for one as soon as you start work. You need to have a confirmed position – ie have a job or have been given a start date.
The NI Number Card
A plastic NI number card will be sent to you at your given UK address. It does not provide proof of your identity and should not be used as such
